Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Alexis Mardosa LPC ATR-BC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Board-certified Art Therapist in Georgia and New Jersey. I have been practicing counseling for over ten years. I graduated with honors from Caldwell University in New Jersey, receiving a dual master's in psychology in Mental Health Counseling with an Art Therapy Specialization.
I am passionate about using creativity to heal and empower others. I believe in the therapeutic process of one person helping another and the significance kindness can make. We all deserve a safe space to grow and flourish. I have experience in a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, self-esteem, and life transitions.
I am trained to assist you navigate family challenges related to parenting, blended families, divorce, and conflict resolution. My specialty is working with children and adolescents ages 4 through 18. Empowering children and adolescents to explore their internal thoughts and feelings, while supporting them to develop autonomy, self-awareness, problem-solving skills, and emotional regulation. I tailor art therapy interventions to match each child's developmental level and stage in life. My goal is to help others develop resilience, self-confidence, and a greater understanding of themselves.

I provide a combination of Psychotherapy with Art Therapy to create a unique and transformative experience going beyond traditional talk therapy. I have worked in multiple environments with many different people including Hospital Emergency room, Children’s Hospital, Residential substance abuse rehab, Cognitive therapist with Traumatic Brian Injury and Disabilities, Mental Health Inpatient /Outpatient, Private practice, and Crisis Intervention In-home therapy. I understand that life can be busy and it's not always easy to make it to in-person therapy sessions. That's why we offer teletherapy services that allow you to connect with our licensed therapists from the comfort of your own home. Our teletherapy sessions are secure, private, and convenient.
